At the end of July Veronica, Sawyer and I packed up my car and headed to The Gorge for Watershed. For those of you who don't know, Watershed is a 3 day country music festival and it is wonderful. There is a special place in my heart for country music and since Justin isn't the biggest country fan, this is such a good excuse to go spend some time with some of my favorite gals and sing our hearts out.
We saw Sam Hunt, Frankie Ballard, Thomas Rhett, Florida Georgia Line, Easton Corbin, Hunter Hayes, Carrie Underwood, Joe Nichols, Chris Young, Gary Allen, and Dierks Bentley. I have to say that Carrie was my favorite. Which surprised me! I definitely like her, but I wasn't expecting her to be my favorite, but she did a great job and I loved her performance and song choices!
After Watershed, Veronica and I parted ways and I rode back to Tacoma with friends, and then was reunited with Sawyer Man! Which was so great! It's just so crazy how much they can change in such a short period of time!
I was going to be in Tacoma for just under two weeks! We were so excited to have time to do all of the things on our list, because you know how it gets with family time... there is just never enough time to do everything! And while we did leave a few things on the list (just an excuse for another trip!) we got a lot done, which was wonderful!
We went to the zoo!
Loved the goats! hahaha
And the Seattle Aquarium!
We made fruit leather and dried fruit!
We lounged in the yard, ate popsicles, and played with the bunny!
We got pedicures and went shopping!
I mostly finished Sawyer's Christmas stocking! I only have a few finishing touches left!
My stepdad and I (okay, mostly my stepdad) made this awesome piece that I dreamed up in my head to go in my kitchen above my coffee bar to hold my mugs! It turned out exactly how I wanted it and I'm so so happy!
And we just spent time hanging out and relaxing. Which I feel sometimes gets skipped over when there is so much you want to get done in a short trip!
Then... the most exciting part of the trip... my cousin got married to the best girl! It was such a beautiful wedding and Kenny and Randee are seriously just the cutest, most in love couple! It was so special and so much fun! I am so excited that I got to be there to celebrate their day with them! It was also so fun to get to introduce Sawyer to some family he hadn't met yet!

Sawyer meeting Kenny and Randee!
Sawyer meeting his great great grandma!!
It was such a great trip! We all had a wonderful time! Now we're back to the grind... about ready to start school and daycare again. But hey, at least that means fall and birthdays are right around the corner!
